The band was founded in 2017 by Lyudmil Dimitrov with the aim of creating a left-wing political band, the first of its kind in Bulgaria. Amateur musicians with left-wing political views were invited to join. Ekaterina Mitrinova, Stefan Petrov, Yordan Ivanov. The band performs songs in the punk, rock, new wave and psychedelic styles. Their original songs address the struggle of anti-fascists in Bulgaria and around the world, poverty and inequality under capitalism, police violence, the takeover of the state by the oligarchy, and the unbearable labour of the working class. With the band’s original line-up, they played several gigs in Sofia, Bulgaria, and one in Athens, Greece. The song “He Who Does Not Work Shall Not Eat” was broadcast on ZROCK radio. In 2020, the remaining members left the band and Lyudmil Dimitrov brought in new musicians to continue the project. Musically, the band has evolved thanks to the professional skills of the new musicians. Current line-up: Virginia Shmarova – Jill – vocals, Plamen Boyadzhiev – guitar, Lyudmil Dimitrov – bass, Simeon Monov – drums. The band is looking for like-minded people on the social front for joint concerts. info: Forbidden Symbols More about Forbidden Symbols: zabraneni-simvoli.blogspot.com Contact the band: camelasign@abv.bg
