Woomb is the brainchild of Hristo Yordanov, a young singer-songwriter with a background in the visual arts, and Georgi Linev, a composer and producer who grew up in the US and already boasts an impressive portfolio — he is known as the founder of the Billboard-charting project Kan Wakan and for his work with Baby Keem, Thundercat, Moses Sumney, current Linkin Park singer Emily Armstrong and others. At home, the duo found a devoted following from their very first live performance, whilst internationally things are buzzing for Woomb: some of the recently released tracks have already been tested on tour, including in the Balkans. Yordanov sees the completion of the EP as a process of self-discovery: “While writing this record, I unravelled a lot of family trauma that I wasn’t fully aware of. I was trying to understand life through death. And how passing on has the quality of lifting that invisible blanket. I was captivated by that sense of relief. How after death, only the truth remains. All the lies of life are no longer necessary.” Support them here: woomb.bandcamp.com Contact them: woombband@gmail.com
