The band Subdibula was formed in 1985 by Petar Chukhov, Ventsi Drenikov, Ventsi Yankov, Bozhidar Trenkov and Rumen Nanov. In the early years of their existence, various musicians passed through the line-up briefly, but the core remained unchanged until 1992, when Momchil Borisov joined the four as a permanent member. Between 1987 and 1997, Subdibula was one of the leading rock bands in the country. Subdibula released four albums of entirely original compositions: Slowly (1991); Yellow (1993); Wild Party (1995) and Personal Things (2007). In 1997, the band released the album ‘Absolutely’. In 2020, the band began work on a new project and, after a 30-year absence from the stage, resumed live performances, with Eli Radanova joining the line-up. Currently, the band (Petar Chukov – guitars and vocals, Eli Radanova – vocals, Momchil Borisov – guitars and bass, Bojo Trenkov – drums, Ventsi Drenikov – keyboards, programming and vocals) is finalising its latest studio album and is simultaneously working on Eli Radanova’s debut solo album.
