In 1987, the cult band Kale split up, only to re-emerge as two iconic Bulgarian bands of that era – Revyu and Nova Generatsiya. It was then that Revyu recorded tracks that were landmark hits of their time, including ‘Ala Bala’, ‘Director of a Waterfall’, ‘Uncle’ and others. Until the 1990s, the band played numerous concerts both in Bulgaria and abroad – mainly in countries of the former Eastern Bloc. Director Ivan Kovachev made a film about the band – *Director of a Waterfall* – telling their story and featuring clips from their live performances. At the end of the year, following a performance at a music festival in Korea, the musicians ceased their activities and decided to seek opportunities abroad. Milena remained in Bulgaria and continued her career as a solo artist. In 1996, Boicho Karaboychev and Vasil Gyurov, having returned, began recording a new album. Unfortunately, the album remained unfinished due to Boycho’s untimely death in early 1997. REVU returned in 2001 and released the album “10”.
