P.I.F. was formed by Dimo Stoyanov and Ivan Velkov in Varna under the name Resemblence in 1992. During this period, the band performed songs in English and mainly played in Hungary. Since 1999, the band has been based in Sofia under the name P.I.F. (Patriots In Fashion). Current line-up as of 2023: Dimo Stoyanov (RIP), Ivan Velkov, Yuri Bojinov, Martin Profirov. A fairly popular band in Bulgaria with a diverse musical style across their various releases. They have released six albums between 2000 and 2021. In September 2021, the book "The P.I.F. Story" was published, recounting the band’s history. It was started before Dimo’s death and includes his own stories on the subject. This is the second book in the Scribens Acoustics series featuring musical biographies of significant Bulgarian bands.
