Nasekomix is a Bulgarian band whose style can be described as a blend of electronic music, jazz, rock, punk, indie, fusion and trip-hop. The band was founded in 2001 in Sofia by Andronia Popova – Roni (Monday Morning), Alexander Yanev (ex Panican Whyasker), Todor Karastoyanov – tkrst (ex-Animationists) and Mihail Yosifov (Vendetta, SkinFlick, B.F.D.M.). The reason for the gathering was an invitation to take part in a youth music festival in Padua, Italy, extended to Monday Morning, which the rest of the band declined, prompting Roni to urgently assemble a new group with other musicians. Later, Alexander Daniel – Sandy (drums, Ambient Anarchist) and Georgi Donchev (electric double bass, double bass), whilst Alexander Yanev and Todor Karastoyanov left the band. Insectomix released one multimedia album – ‘Insectomix’ – and the single ‘GradAD’ before gaining popularity with the songs ‘Inject Me with Love’ and “Lady Song” for the soundtrack of Kamen Kalev’s film “Eastern Plays”. At the end of October 2009, they released their first studio album, “Adam’s Bushes, Eva’s Deep”,[3] produced by the English producer Ilian Walker (a.k.a. DJ iLS) and Angel Hristanov (Art Eternal).
