KOKOSHA GLAVA was formed in 1987–88 in Kardzhali, when a group of friends, standing apart from the heavy metal craze in Bulgaria, decided to form a band and play the music they loved. The period up to 1990–91 proved very fruitful for the band, with many of their iconic songs, such as ‘Bagher’ and ‘Beer Man’, being written during this time. In 1997, KOKOSHA GLAVA settled permanently in Plovdiv. In the same year, “Anarchy” was recorded and released on a compilation by the German label “Teenage Rebel Records”, featuring 24 punk bands from around the world. In 1999, “Heroin”, "Summer Ska" and "On a May Day", released on a Brazilian and a Canadian compilation, whilst "Summer Ska" was played for several months on Plovdiv’s "Kanal Kom" radio station. In the same year, the band took part in a three-day punk and hardcore festival in Skopje, Macedonia. This was followed by concerts in Plovdiv, as the band returned to its roots, tightened up its sound a little, and in 2001 recorded the explosive “All Cops Are Bastards” and "Long Live Homosexuals", released again on a German compilation. info: bg-rock-archives.com
