The band was formed in 1991 by Lyubomir Malkovski, who had made a name for himself in the late 1980s as a member of ‘Era’, and before that in jazz groups such as ‘Montuno’, ‘Ellipsis’ and ‘Coda’. They have two studio MC albums; the first was released in 1992 under the title ‘Er Maluk 1’, and the second and final one came out in 1994 under the title ‘Lichno!’. In 1993, in collaboration with Balkanton (label) and Ivaylo Kraichovski (producer), they released the LP ‘Er Maluk’. At the end of 2005, they re-released their two albums “Er Maluk 1” and “Lichno” on CD in a limited edition (produced by Adrian Ivanov), and on 21 September 2006 Er Malak reunited for the concert “Er Malak 15 Years” – live in Sofia, released shortly afterwards on DVD (produced by Lyubomir Malkovski).
