With the fifth track, “Wave Of The Night”, Elastic Skies bring their debut EP “I” to a close – a mini-album about liberation, sadness and dance. The EP is conceived as musical therapy, in which the project organises thoughts and confronts the repressed through dark, dreamlike guitars, danceable to brutal basslines and the characteristic 80s-style Linndrum drum machine. The sound moves between dark wave, post-punk and synthpop, without being strictly confined to any one genre, revealing various sonic and stylistic facets. Nora Blöhl’s vocals and producer Patrick Tilg’s wavy guitar-synth sound lend the EP a sense of cohesion and a strong identity. The first three singles have already been played on a number of European radio stations such as FM4, PULS and LRT Opus, and the project is ideal for fans of Boy Harsher, Lebanon Hanover and The KVB. On 23 October 2025, Elastic Skies appeared on dwr.radio, performed a live session and gave a short interview especially for us, which marked the beginning of our friendship — brilliant, in our opinion, with a very refined sense of musical aesthetics.
