Dystopian Romance – Eagle Post’s new album – has been released. The album was recorded and mixed in 2023 by Georgi Malchev (formerly of Mlūk!, Quicksand Surfer, Sativa), whilst the mastering was handled by legendary English producer Pete Maher, who has worked on productions for the Rolling Stones, Jack White and U2, the Peaky Blinders series, and more. The lyrics and music were written by guitarist and vocalist Kras (ex-Mluk!), whilst Georgi Varamezov (ex-Django Ze, Jendema, Sekta Simurgia) is on drums. Guitarist Anton Velev (Stop the Schizo, ex-Mental Architects), who has also made a significant contribution to the album’s realisation, is now part of the band, which has been performing live since this year, whilst Georgi Malchev is on bass. Both the production and the songs on Dystopian Romance represent a significant step forward from the promising 2022 debut. The layers of guitars, slide guitar and open chords, the band’s trademark, are now complemented by striking vocal harmonies, which add a new dimension to the already memorable tracks.
