DRYW & The Falling Leaves is a Bulgarian psychedelic and alternative rock band formed around Alexander Zhelyazkov (Dryw) following his departure from Balkhara in 2013. Initially launched as a solo project, DRYW gradually evolved into a full-fledged band, comprising Rosen Zahariev (bass, banjo), Boris Raikov (drums, guitar) and Hristo Penev (keyboards). The band’s sound is deeply atmospheric, blending psychedelic and indie rock with acoustic instruments and cinematic textures, shaped with the help of producer Vasko Raikov.
Songs such as ‘Gypsy’s Heart’ and ‘To Fall’ showcase their signature style – melancholic, contemplative and emotionally rich. The lyrics explore themes of nature, change and the cyclical nature of life, making DRYW & The Falling Leaves’ music a reflection of internal and external transformations. The band is best known for their album Hopeful Monsters (2017), regarded as a comprehensive, introspective musical journey. Get in touch with the band here: dryw.bandcamp.com
