Doesn’t Frogs is a power trio from Sofia that focuses on noisy and electrifying live performances. Their music is hard to pin down to a specific genre, but is heavily influenced by the Western post-punk, shoegaze and noise-pop scenes. Their gigs are dark and self-destructive, yet they manage to get the crowd dancing the whole time. “We are Martin, Serge and The Ancient One. Doesn’t Frogs started as a garage project (if The Ancient One’s flat in Druzhba can be described as a garage), which had no stylistic boundaries, goals or pretensions. It was simply a way to have fun and make sense of the quantities of alcohol consumed. Then Serge turned up and things became more focused. A month later we had 10 tracks and a debut gig." Embracing experimentation, the band presents an anti-utopian audio-visual project, combining the sound of the past with the spirit of the new era. In early 2015, they took part in the 13th anniversary "Alarma Punk Jazz" festival, and in May they were among the organisers and performers at the "Rocket Psyence Night" festival. DOESN'T FROGS visited the Republic of Macedonia for two concerts – in Skopje and Kumanovo (September 2015). At the end of the following month, they released the EP "Egotripping". DOESN'T FROGS ended the year by performing at "Impossible Fest 2015". In the spring of 2016, the band was part of the party programme at the Sofia International Film Festival and Rocket Psyence Fest. In April 2017, DOESN'T FROGS’ debut album, “Afterlife”, was released.Source: lunatic.bg and bg-rock-archives.com You can listen to everything the band has left behind on DARKWAVERADOMIR.ONLINE The band is currently inactive.
