DADA is a folk rock band from Dupnitsa, formed in 1995. The name comes from the avant-garde movement ‘Dadaism’ and, in the broadest sense, means ‘innovation’. After a year and a half, they had finished the tracks for their debut album and the band went into the “City” and “Graffiti” studios to record them. Most of the lyrics are in English, and the musicians, in addition to the usual rock instruments, also use the kaval, ocarina and saxophone. The song “Kazi zašto?” entered the “Black Top” chart, hosted by Emo Bratanov. DADA made a successful appearance at the “Biala Svetlina” festival in Primorsko.
