Crash were one of the most popular thrash metal bands in the country during the first half of the 1990s. Active: 1988–1994. The band was formed by Zdravko and Tsaro in 1988 under the name Metal Crash. After a bassist and vocalist joined the band, the name was shortened to simply Crash. At their first gig, Plebeya was in the audience; he was impressed by the band and invited Zdravko and Tsaro to join his band, Luminal. After a brief stint in his band, the two returned to Crash. At the end of 1990, the band parted ways with their first vocalist and his place was taken by Plebeya. He brings in another guitarist – Malkiya. The first performance with the revamped line-up is at the Christmas concert in the Universiada Hall. In the early 1990s, the band signs a contract with manager Ognyan Angelov. In the summer of ’91, they took part in the “Rock for Survival” festival, where they were the heaviest band and made a very good impression with their performance. September 1991 – Crash opened for Sodom at the Akademik Stadium in front of 12,000 people. In the spring of 1992, they recorded a joint track with Nova Generatsiya – “Propadane”: a strange hybrid of wave and thrash. In the summer of the same year, they record their debut album at Studio 2 of BNT and shoot a music video for the song “The Beginning”. Malkiya and Tsuro were invited to join Era, and the new drummer was Sasho from Electric Shock. In the annual poll of "Musical Box", hosted by Emil Bratanov, Crash were named "Discovery of the Year" (1992).
