Bund is a Bulgarian alternative supergroup from Sofia, formed by musicians with an established presence on the independent scene, such as Jin Monic, Drunch and The Barbarones. The line-up consists of Nikolay Ivanov (vocals and bass), Boris Yovkov (guitar) and Marin Lashov (drums), who came together following a chance meeting and a shared love for bands such as Sonic Youth and the Pixies. Their debut release, We Didn’t Go, is a triptych of three songs, conceived as a single, continuous musical statement. The project focuses on minimalism, tension and the interplay between vocals, bass, guitars and drums, without unnecessary showmanship or a search for an easy resolution. The band is planning new tracks and future live performances, with their main aim being to develop their emotional and artistic vision beyond the confines of the standard single format.
