Bluba Lu is a Bulgarian experimental trip-hop/nu-jazz/underground music duo comprising Dimitar Paskalev and Konstantin Katsarski, one of the oldest Bulgarian underground groups. Initially, the group mainly produced instrumental music, but later began working with guest vocalists. The group, founded by Dimitar Paskalev and Rumen Blagoev, has existed since 1994 under various names and in different line-ups: Perfect Blue, Shangri-La, Not Yet. They first appeared under the name Bluba Lu in 1998 at the first concert organised by the ‘Yellow Music’ label, which brought together the bands Bluba Lu, Osta, Wickeda, Animaționerite, Babyface Clan and Homeovox. In 2000, Konstantin Katsarski (Koka Mass Jazz) joined Bluba Lu, establishing a lasting creative partnership.
