Who are Bass’n’Flower? – Bass’n’Flower is a project featuring two bass guitars, vocals and drums – formed in January 2017. Initially, it was just a fledgling project by Radoslav Stoykov, who, inspired by bands such as The Black Keys, The White Stripes, Royal Blood and, above all, the fact that he currently had no electric guitar with which to bring his ideas to life, decided to record all the parts on bass alone. Before long, this became the project’s defining musical concept. Tsvetana Mishkova and Grigor Mishkov joined the project; they had previously crossed musical paths with Radoslav Stoykov on several occasions whilst performing at joint gigs with other bands. So there were now two bassists, and this further cemented the concept. The name Bass’n’Flower was born. In early 2021, after a break of several years, live rehearsals began again, and by the end of the year a drummer – Zhoro Seshe – joined the line-up. Bass’n’Flower play only their own material, carefully selecting their lyrics and experimenting with the music. “You Know… Live Demo” is their debut album, released in 2023.
