Blagoy Chilakov, known by the pseudonym 350teric, is a designer and musician based in Veles, North Macedonia. Over the years, the project’s initial aim was to serve as a counterbalance to everyday life, gradually shifting towards a conscious and holistic exploration of universal truth. Stylistically, the works can be divided into three distinct periods, encompassing a wide range of genres interwoven across numerous albums, EPs and singles, all ranging from progressive metal to ambient rock and electronic music. The latest mini-album in 350teric’s discography is titled ‘MANDALA’. The main concept follows the visual process of creating a mandala – a task that integrates psychological division and symbolically represents the spiritual journey from the outside to the inner core. As for the creation of the album itself, the songs were composed and produced in a single day – creations of a moment – brief windows of “fresh air” amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life. The main soundscapes of the recording are open, ethereal and resonant, whilst the rhythm section is grounded and groovy, with the bass playing a key role in the mix.
